Who we are
HamamTicket Istanbul arranges hamam visits at partner hamams in Istanbul's Old City. It is operated by Empire Concierge LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, which decides how your details are used (the data controller). You can reach us at book@couplehamam.com or on WhatsApp at +1 646 793 9669.
Our booking office, Couple Hamam Istanbul, is also run by Empire Concierge. It keeps the reservation records and sends the confirmation e-mail, so that e-mail comes from book@couplehamam.com.
What we collect
- When you book online for two: your name, your WhatsApp or phone number, your e-mail address if you give it, the ritual, the day and time, your hotel if you ask for a pickup, and any note you add.
- Where you came from, if the link you used carried it (for example an advertising campaign tag or ad click ID), so we know which of our adverts work.
- When you tap a WhatsApp button: a short reference code (for example "Ref: AB12CD") is added to your message and stored with the ad click details of your visit, if any, so we can tell which advert led to the conversation. The code is kept in your browser for this visit only (session storage).
- If you continue on WhatsApp (for one person, three or more, a family, another hamam on the map, an extra service, or a question): the message you send and our conversation with you.
Why we use it, and on what basis
To arrange, confirm and run your visit, to contact you about it, and to prevent duplicate or fraudulent bookings. We use your details because you asked us to make the booking (performance of a contract, or steps before one), and to keep the records the law requires. Measuring which adverts work relies on our legitimate interest and, where the law requires it, your consent. Ticking the box on the booking form confirms that you have read this notice; it is not a marketing consent. We do not send marketing and we do not sell your details.
Advertising measurement and cookies
This website may use the Google tag to measure our Google Ads. Advertising cookies are used only where allowed: visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland start with them off until they allow them, and anyone can change the choice at any time with "Privacy choices" at the bottom of the page. When a reservation is saved, Google receives only its reference and value; your name, e-mail and phone are never sent. Declining does not affect your booking. Ad personalisation is always off.
Who receives it
- The hamam that hosts you receives only what it needs to welcome you: your first name, the number of guests, the ritual, the day and time and, if you asked for one, the pickup details. It never receives your phone number or e-mail address.
- For a pickup, the driver receives the pickup place and time.
- Service providers that host this website and run our reservation records, e-mail and WhatsApp messages (such as Cloudflare, our e-mail provider and WhatsApp), and Google for advertising measurement as described above, acting on our instructions or as independent controllers where they say so.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Transfers abroad
Our company and some of our service providers are outside Turkey and outside the European Economic Area, so your details may be processed in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on standard contractual clauses or another safeguard the law allows (GDPR Chapter V, KVKK Article 9).
Other services this website uses
Fonts come from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of a normal web request. The map on this website is an illustration and loads no third-party map service.
Payment
Nothing is paid on this website. You pay at the hamam, in cash or by card. We never ask for card details.
How long we keep it
Booking records and related messages are kept for up to 3 years after your visit for accounting and dispute purposes, then deleted or anonymised. Conversations that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, to restrict or object to their use, to withdraw a consent you gave, or to receive a copy, by writing to book@couplehamam.com. We answer within 30 days. These rights come from the GDPR (Articles 15 to 22) and, in Turkey, the KVKK (Article 11). You can also complain to your data protection authority, in Turkey the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).
